A grateful beneficiary of His supernatural power, I bear witness today to a God who liberates.
Through Him, chains are broken, captivity is lifted, and lives are transformed.
Little by little, through fits and starts and setbacks and breakthroughs, freedom has become mine and I will never be the same.
The weight has been lifted!
My long-sought liberation ushered in blessed revelation. A fresh awareness was mine, and I was finally able to see just how detrimental the weight had proven to be and how oblivious I had become to its full impact.
Now, though, I know, and having tasted freedom, vow never again to settle for anything less.
Though I lament the time wasted and the price paid, I bank on Godβs promise of years restored and lives redeemed.
I rest in the One who trades beauty for ashes and I consecrate my chains to Him, the only One worthy of them.
If I be bound to anything, let it be my Christ, my bondage breaker, the One who liberates and captivates all at the same time. The One who, paradoxically, offers the kind of freedom that can only be found in captivity to Him.
βStand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.β
